In our last article, dental implants provider Dr. Hoos and the rest of his staff at Brush and Floss Dental Center in Stratford, CT discussed the science behind smiling. Today, with Halloween just a day away we wanted to discuss something else that might cause people to smile; Halloween costumes!
Halloween Costumes with the Best Teeth
Because we are a dental office, we decided to highlight some of the most popular Halloween costumes that have the coolest teeth, in case you are still having some trouble picking a costume to wear tomorrow night. Some of the teeth in these costumes are not the picture of oral health, and some could stand to get a dental implant or two, but they are cool nonetheless.
Let’s take a closer a look at a few of our favorites.
The Vampire!
This iconic Halloween character is known for the sharp fangs it harbors within its mouth. There are plenty of version of the vampire that you can dress up as this year. You can choose to go classic and wear the dark clothes, white face paint, and cape, in honor of the classic “Dracula” vampire look. Or you can some normal clothing but pop in some creepy contacts and go as an undercover vampire. Then again there are some people who choose to go the goth/metal route and smudge black lipstick and black eyeliner on their faces, wear black clothing and some sort of high rise boots.
However, regardless of which version you choose, one thing is a must in all of them; a pair of pearly white, sharp fangs.
The Werewolf!
Here is yet another Halloween classic that has an impressive set of teeth. Just like with the vampire costume, there are nearly endless possibilities and variations that you can choose from with this particular character. Some people like to don a gray wig and nightgown and pretend to be the big bad wolf that ate Little Red Riding Hood’s grandmother. Other people like to get an old flannel and a pair of worn jeans, put rips in both of them and paint their faces in scary wolf makeup.
Again, whichever version of this classic costume you choose to side with, one last thing is needed to make it complete; a set of fangs. Unlike the vampire fangs, though, these fangs don’t have to be pearly white. In fact, they usually look a little more realistic if the fangs are somewhat yellow and stained.
We hope some of these suggestions have helped you decide on a last minute costume for any festivities you might be participating in tonight and tomorrow. And remember; having a little candy is ok. After all it is Halloween. Just be sure not to overdo it. Otherwise, you could end up with a tummy ache or even worse; a cavity!
Until next time readers, have a happy Halloween, stay safe, and keep smiling.
